Right now, the Right Whale is at a risk of becoming extinct within the next twenty years. But, there's still hope for these beautiful creatures. Scientists and engineers have been working on fishing traps that require no rope. These traps float to the surface and send a ping to a fisherman, letting them know the location of the trap. Since there is no rope involved, the whales are not at a risk of entanglement. These traps are already used, but not popular in fishing. They will also help other species of whales, and sea life.
